To Potential Employer,

I am looking for a career that will allow me to utilize my degree to solve unique problems with innovative solutions. Not just a job that provides a stable living, but  a career with the opportunity to have a positive impact and allow for advancement and upward mobility. I am a great candidate for my unique work experience, leadership, and drive.

I have experience working in Energy Consultation from small commercial to large industrial. But what sets me apart from other candidates is that I also have a strong background in maintenance, service, and new construction because I am a (soon to be) Journeyman Plumber. During my time with Evans Plumbing, I have also served as the Backflow Specialist for the Wood River Valley. There are 100+ devices that are inspected, tested, and reported back to the municipalities. My experience is very diverse and well rounded which makes me practical and competent employee.

The University of Idaho Industrial Assessment Center (UIIAC) also allowed me team leadership positions by managing the collection of data on site visits, developing energy saving projects, and compiling sections to ensure complete reports. This leadership translated directly to my position as Associate Engineer for Energy Resources Integration. As the Backflow Specialist,  I implemented the Backflow Service Agreement (BSA) program. Developing and managing this program has allowed for the growth of established clientele and improved customer relations.

If there is one thing that working as a Plumbing/Mechanical Technician and Backflow Specialist has taught me, it is that Engineers have a broad understanding of the universe and the laws that govern it. But this black box methodology of only understanding balanced equations and graphs provides a limiting view of real world. I am a great candidate as shown through my unique and well rounded experience, my capacity to take up leadership roles, and my drive to continue learning.

I can be contacted by email, and will respond promptly. I hope to hear from you soon, and thank you for your consideration.

Cordially,
Chanceler Sundquist
